At 9,000 ms it would take 192.38 days to travel 1AU
Just curious what the longest distant anyone has ever traveled? eg, burning away from the most outta celestial outwards.
Got any screenshots?
Maths: Days =(((149,597,870/(9,000/1000))/60)/60)/24
Largest distance traveled was from the closest accessible system to Jovian space to a system in Jovian space. This happened before my time. You used to be able to stack prop mods (Have multiples and have them all activated at once). Someone did this and spent several days flying towards a Jovian systems star. They didn't actually fly the real distance though it was made possible by some kind of weird way the server calculated your position. After a while the server decided the ship was somewhere else and moved it.
I myself have flown a Dominix and a few other ships including an Orca ( which went further do to mass making it harder for it to slow back down). Several AUs without a warp bubble in a matter of seconds with a star bump assist.

Just captured some footage for you all.
https://youtu.be/KWKiwFjjMg4
Grabbed my Gnosis and threw it at the Dodixie star a couple times for your viewing pleasure.
1st kick sends me 1,140,598 Km, Max speed is reached at ~ 2:45 with a top speed of 288,653,472 meters per second.
2nd Kick sends me ~ 1,142,350 Km. I had to collect some numbers after the footage was captured to calculate this number as the map at the end of the video would not show the bookmark location I was using for my landing. So this number is not accurate. Max speed is reached at ~ 4:58 with a top speed of 282,199,968 m/s.
I am also not to sure about the precision of the top speed numbers. The slider on the player I used to review the footage didn't seem to have much precision.
I tried to get the video to upload at a better quality but I don't know it just comes out a bit grainy for me after its uploaded to YouTube. Might have to go ahead and upload it to plays.tv and see how it does on that. Not sure if a crappy monitor would keep it from capturing at 1080p.
I was going to put a CCP Dev quote here from a reply I got about bouncing the Dominix off the star and how the star sizes were supposed to change. But I couldn't find it. |

Also made BMs in celestials where you'd get kicked out at silly speeds but can't remember what they were - you'd quickly slow down though.
See my post 2 before yours, I have a video and some speeds written down. Star bumps a gnosis to ~ 288 million m/s. |

I decided to do a new short recording of the star kick with the new star graphics that are out now, and my new monitor which allows for me to do 1080p now.
https://youtu.be/T0Mtxzki458 currently uploading, will be live soon.
It is ready for viewing here at plays.tv as well. |

You should read all of the posts in this thread. What exactly are you wanting to do? Some of the methods discussed in this thread are no longer viable. There is a max distance your allowed to create bookmarks from a star these days so once you reach that limit and pass it you will be moved back after each down time and any bookmarks made outside that limit will be moved to within that limit. CCP did that to stop players from making deep safe spots. I was lucky enough to have visited one once, we jumped to it through a titan bridge and it took a couple warp activation's to reach a star gate.
